The term “Mediterranean Diet”, in the way it is used today, essentially describes the Cretan diet (mainly), but also of the other Mediterranean countries. This nutritional standard promotes well-being and longevity and our unique products are based on its principles

It should not be omitted that after years of research it was shown that the Cretan diet contributed to the reduction of deaths by 56% and the occurrence of various types of cancer by 61%.

A basket of traditional rusks has always been at the center of the Cretan table. And that is because it was the only way, for families who could not bake bread every day, but also for shepherds, farmers and sailors, to have bread in their daily diet. Thus, the rusk has been a large part of the Cretan diet since then.
